gigabyte aorus 3080 ti any known common issues?

HI Everyone,

 

Just wondering does the gigabyte aorus master 3080 ti have any known RMA worthy issues? I currently have an asus rog strix 2080 ti with a seasonic 1250w x series power supply(SS-1250XM2). Am considering upgrading to the 3080 ti but with my luck when it comes to pc components, I really do not want to deal with any issues such as artifacting or crashes. 

since these cards are fairly expensive right now and hard to get, I really dread the RMA process and don't want to spend so much money just to deal with a RMA process... Did some googling and found a lot of people complaining about their cards causing games to crash, although I didn't find any 3080 ti having this issue only the 3080s....

To be honest, only people with problems are the ones who are complaining and posting on the Internet. Generally those, who are happy, enjoy their GPU instead of posting on the Internet.

 

If there was an actual issue, that is present on large number/percentage of GPUs, there would be much more publication on it. So I wouldn't worry too much about it.

Here's a chart with RMA percentages for each vendor, Gigabyte has the lowest percentage among others at 2% so it seems like a great bet.

Reminder that RMA =/= DOA. 

While a DOA card will be RMA'ed, an RMA isn't always DOA

RMA includes any warranty coverage within the period, DOA means it arrived dead.

I guess Asus and EVGA weren't willing to give up their sales+RMA numbers publicly.

Gigabyte are known to have fan noise and heat issues.

 

I have two 3080 tis.

One MSI and one EVGA.  In some cases they run hot and therefore the fans are noisy. 

 

My MSI Gaming X Trio was hot and noisy in a Corsair 5000D but cool and quiet in a Lian Li O11 Dynamic.

 

With any 3080 ti you may have to rethink your cooling.

im going to be sticking it into a corsair 750d all case grey noctua case fans. I got a nzxt kraken x63 with the brown corsair fans. im considering undervolting though if temps are an issue. going to run stress tests/benchmarks with 3dmark as soon as i get the card.

All brands have issues.  Buy the one with the best support/warranty.  EVGA,

The only problem with this chart, it is not representative and pretty much useless from a statistical perspective.

You would need a certain number, which should be the same for each Brand (like at least 10% of produced cards and not less than 100 000 cards from each brand) and then look how many RMAs they got.
