Boot drive sometimes not detected on bootup

Go to solution Solved by Altecice,

Your SSD runs the buggy Sandforce chip. They released a firmware update awhile ago that should fix the "cold boot issue".

Recently I've upgraded to an OCZ vertex II SSD(128 gb) and now sometimes the drive isn't detected on boot up, for the time being my band aid solution was to keep turning my PC on and off till it actually detected the drive, but now I'm just getting tired of it and I would love to know if there is anything I can do to fix it apart from buying a new drive.

Thanks

I own a OCZ Vertex II myself. Its not the most reliable drive... Make sure you have the latest firmware installed.
