Decent £920/$1000 Gaming PC Build?

Smithy2402

Does anyone think this is a decent build for the price, or do you think there is anything I should change?

Intel Core i5-4670k

Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo

Asus Z87 Pro

Corsair Vengeance 8gb LP DDR3-1600

Samsung 120gb 840 Evo

Seagate Barracuda 1TB 7200rpm

EVGA GTX 750Ti SC

Corsair 750D

Corsair RM650

LiteOn DVD-RW

Windows 8.1 64bit

(Some of this stuff - such as the psu - have been chosen to future proof myself a bit)

Would love to hear your suggestions.

Get a cheaper case and a GTX 770.

I really do not recommend a 750Ti in a 750D with a 4670K.

Save on the case, get a better GPU. That's what I would change.

@Paralectic Thanks for the feedback, I had never thought about that!

For now just get a cheap ass case and get a much better card, then you can buy a nice case when you get more money

I would even say drop the SSD and case, get a 780 maybe?

and buy the SSD and case later? they wont impact game performance in any way

EDIT also unless you are wanting the neatest cabling in the world you could downgrade the PSU to a corsair builder series CX and save £50 there too ;)

depends how you want your build balanced between build quality / looks / performance

I agree, that GPU is going to be a bit disappointing in a 1k build.

That sounds like an expensive shop? You can Deffo get a better pc for £920 than that. If you shop at scan.co.uk you can probably get a better GPU for the same price.

Btw I'd also recommend saving up just abit more and spending £1000 on the pc because your close to it anyway and will definatly allow for a better GPU

As many have said cut the case cost and probably a bit lighter psu and get a 760/770.

I have changed my specs and budget up slightly to get this: http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/p/3ogc8

(I have a 750w PSU only because it was about £2 more than 650W. The operating system is about £10 cheaper at my local computer store: http://www.box.co.uk/Windows_8.1_64_Bit_OS_Operating_System_O_1491895.html. It will be my birthday a couple months after I plan to do this build, so the I will get a Corsair 750D and a Samsung 120gb 840 EVO SSD).

Any other changes I should make?!

Even though you are future proofing yourself save on the psu possibly get a semi modular psu!

Then spend more on the gpu!

Get a $100 dollar case like define r4 or arc midi r2 or something in that price range. Unless you plan on going sli in the future, get a quality 500 watt psu, that's all you need. If you do plan on going sli, you will need at least something like a 760i or more. You can save a little more on ram, get yourself some g.skill ripjaws series ram. g.skill makes the best ram in my opinion and it's not overpriced.
