3 different new PSU's won't turn on my computer, but the old one does every time.

APTech

Alright everyone I'm at my wits end here trying to figure out an issue. I recently upgraded to a 3080ti, and when I picked that up I picked up an 850w PSU knowing my 650 would struggle. However upon installing would only get the motherboard to light up as well as my keyboard and streamdeck. Thinking I got a bad PSU since I plugged my old one in and it worked I bought another PSU and same thing. So I exchange that one for a new one and even though it tested good still have the same thing. Any help would be appreciated.
First brand was a Powerspec from micro center, the past 2 are Corsair Rm850x.  The Original PSU is an EVGA 650GQ. Motherboard is an Asus ROG Strix Z490-f gaming.

I did try unplugging the PSU, and clearing the CMOS but no luck there either.

I didn't use them all at the time.  The powerspec is definitely bad as i retested it and it wouldn't work.  I had left the sata cables in because of everything connected.  When i booted without them plugged in on the Corsair it worked.  As soon as I put them in, it wouldn't boot.  I took the time to replace those as well and everything works fine.

The PSU cables are not cross compatible. The pin outs are different from brand to brand and will cause damage to the PSU and components.

Yeah, I hadn't really heard that before a friend of mine mentioned it to me today.  Thankfully no damaged caused to this one and everything is working fine now.
