What do you think of this as a budget CPU? I don't really know how it performs but I like how it's on the same socket as an i5-4670K for an easy upgrade.

Also does the face that it has hyperthreading help it at all?

The year is 20XX. Everyone plays Fox at TAS levels of perfection. Because of this, the winner of a match depends solely on port priority. The RPS metagame has evolved to ridiculous levels due to it being the only remaining factor to decide matches.

Only Abate, Axe, and Wobbles can save us.

A good budget CPU for mid to low end gaming PCs and HTPCs, the hyperthreading helps a bit and the upgradability is really nice.

I don't like the argument for upgradability in i3s. If you are able to upgrade CPUs within the time it takes for that i3 to become antiquated you should just hold your horses and wait till you have enough money for an i5. Buying that i3 just wastes money if you are just buying it to swap it out later. Alternatively you can buy an 8320 and you will have i5 esque performance for only a little more than an i3. It does not make sense for anything but an HTPC and even then the 8320 is still just as viable.

I do agree on this, it's not likely to go from the i3 to an i5 4670K really quick. if so you're better off saving up a bit longer.

The 8320 is a good option aswell and also more affordable.

That's true but on the AMD side if you choose to get a 8 core you will need atleast a decent 970 chipset board or the cpu won't perfom good and those are pricey.

You guys are whining about i3's, have you ever used one? they are dualcores but often outperform amd's in most games.

How is that whining?

Pretty good CPU for the money. Although it has few cores the cores it does have a pretty fast, plus the hyper threading is nice. Your not gonna be running BF4 on super high settings with it but it is competent especially for the money.

This is a good cpu and yes the Hyperthreading does speed it up a lot, This cpu will be fine for almost all tasks including some demanding games and is easy to upgrade to a i5.

if you are planning to get a 4670k make sure to get a Z87 chipset motherboard otherwise your future cpu will be useless.
