So obviously this question is looking for generalities more than future prediction, but how readily available is a newly launched system/architecture upon launch? In particular, I'm thinking of waiting a couple months on my next build and going for the Intel 12th Gen. The question is, how good is supply generally upon launch for something big like that? Would it be expected that I could get a i9-12900K, associated board and RAM,when it comes out, or does it take time for supply to settle?

If 12th gen is anything like 11th gen, youll have trouble finding it a moth before launch, it should be readily available about a week before launch, and it will be on sale by launch

I could use some help with this!

please, pm me if you would like to contribute to my gpu bios database (includes overclocking bios, stock bios, and upgrades to gpus via modding)

The problem will be finding ddr5

they support ddr4 too though, right? I know it's suboptimal, but if I have to burn $80 on a 16 GB kit to replace when the ddr5 is more available, it's not a deal breaker.
