Im trying to build a new pc (first time) and im not sure what im doing could someone help me pick parts out, and lower price but boost quality? Thanks

My name James

Budget (including currency): Below $3000 but we can play with it

Country: USA

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Heavy Gaming, School work, and video streaming (movies, ect.)

Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): At the moment i have a NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 with 60fps on a 21inch flat screen with 1920x1080 Resolution., My main games are Rainbow 6 Siege, Rust, CSGO, Forza 4, Gmod and Rocket League. I would love to get about 100fps in my games or so with zero lag and with a curved monitor maybe like 24in-34in screen (go big or go home) Im pretty new with this type of stuff and watch a lot of videos but idk aha. Please feel free to edit my list or give me tips please 🙂

I would have got a Nhd 15 cooler and a beef-ier PSU tho

Op is most likely not overclocking so the d15 would be pretty useless, though it will lower temps abit

850w is perfectly fine, though 1000w is good for futureproofing

Especially if the OP doesn't intend to OC, I'd also go for 3600MHz CL16 instead of 3200MHz CL16. It won't make a huge difference in gaming, but it definitely will in productivity, and honestly, you shouldn't be buying something like a 5900X if all you intend to do is gaming on it. A 5800X or maybe even a 5600X would be far more appropriate for that, and the RAM speed won't matter as much because of the single CCD design of those chips.

CPU: AMD Ryzen 9 5900X · Cooler: Artic Liquid Freezer II 280 · Motherboard: MSI MEG X570 Unify · RAM: G.skill Ripjaws V 2x16GB 3600MHz CL16 (2Rx8) · Graphics Card: ASUS GeForce RTX 3060 Ti TUF Gaming · Boot Drive: 500GB WD Black SN750 M.2 NVMe SSD · Game Drive: 2TB Crucial MX500 SATA SSD · PSU: Corsair White RM850x 850W 80+ Gold · Case: Corsair 4000D Airflow · Monitor: MSI Optix MAG342CQR 34” UWQHD 3440x1440 144Hz · Keyboard: Corsair K100 RGB Optical-Mechanical Gaming Keyboard (OPX Switch) · Mouse: Corsair Ironclaw RGB Wireless Gaming Mouse
