cpu hitting 100% utilization randomly

i had this problem for maybe a month? i runned a cpu benchmark one day and the cpu utilization didnt go down, i dont understand why, on task manager nothing shows and i dont know why, can someone help me asap please? thank you

Posting your system specs would be helpful.. Have you at least restarted you pc?

i just did, still 100% utilization and 60°C on cpu
btw i have an i5 10400, coolermaster masterliquid ml240l, corsair vengeance pro 16gb 3200, msi b460 tomahawk, wdb ssd 500gb and a kolink enclave psu (600w)

Take a screenshot of your task manager processes tab sorted by CPU and share it with us. Let's try to see what software is using your CPU.

 

What benchmark did you run?

How do you know it's 100% utilized if task manager doesn't show anything?

If someone did not use reason to reach their conclusion in the first place, you cannot use reason to convince them otherwise.

Your CPU is likely running below it's base clock for whatever reason. Give us another screenshot of the CPU section in the 2nd tab of task manager.

If someone did not use reason to reach their conclusion in the first place, you cannot use reason to convince them otherwise.

The "Apri Monitoraggio risorse" can also be a useful tool for diagnosing this sort of thing. It is linked at the bottom left of your task manager screenshot.

the gpu utilization is because i have a live wallpaper (i only have igpu so thats why the usage is high)

ill be honest, i dont remember which program i used for the benchmark, i think the Home - UserBenchmark one, the only software that are running are microsoft edge (my main browser), steam, discord and wallpaper engine
