Help with reinstalling windows 10

Hey guys,

 

So i built a new pc a couple days ago and installed windows 10 through an old windows installation usb which had an extremely old build of windows 10 from 2016. I tried updating it but every time it had an error. I then installed a newer windows installation media on my own usb to try and restart windwos 10 in the recovery options in settings however the 'choose device' option wasnt showing up so i couldnt reinstall it through my own media installation usb.

 

If I were to just go into the bios and boot through my installation media usb and install windows 10 that way would it uninstall the old build thats currently on the pc? Just wondering if this would cause any issues.

yes, it will remove the old installation. i would go this route. it won't cause any issues.

Also just wanted to ask. In the bios the usb comes in two boot options:
1- SanDisk (61.5GB)
2- UEFI: SanDisk, Partition 1 (61.5GB)
Which one should I choose?
