Is there any risk when I reduced my GPU performance but still run it at 100%?

For example, Im using rog rx570 8g with base 1168MHz, mem 1750Mhz, reduced to 1000 Mhz, mem 1700MHz, power -35% by msi af.

Im using software that use maximum gpu while process (~8h each times). And im rather wait longer than bear the risk of break VGA

Do you know of risks of running a GPU at 100% that I dont know of? Unless:

  • GPU core is overheating,
  • Memory is overheating,
  • PSU is insufficient,
  • You are mining.

This is pointless. Whatever your answer might be, yes it is fine to run your GPU at 100% as long as you are able to cool it down.

100% usage is optimal, normal... whatever you prefer...

At whatever clocks and power levels.

If not you are bound by a low hanging fruit elsewhere.

Maximums - Asus Z97-K /w i5 4690 Bclk @106.9Mhz * x39 = 4.17Ghz, 8GB of 2600Mhz DDR3,.. Gigabyte GTX970 G1-Gaming @ 1550Mhz
