Hi! Im having a really weird problem with my PC that ive spent a couple of days trying to solve without any success.

I have 2 Gpus that i can use atm. One MSI 1080 and a asus RX580 strix.

Ive had the 1080 in my pc for a long time but decided to swap for the RX580 because of freesync and to sell the 1080. But im getting this really weird problem when i boot with the RX580, windows boots but i cant click on anything on the desktop and nothing will load, i can as an example start chrome but nothing will load, no webpages just a spinning wheel forever.  Then after trying to start a bunch of programs windows eventually freezes.

Now If i just remove the RX 580 and put in the MSI 1080 everything runs smooth again without any problems at all, so seems to be the GPU but i dont feel like this is a issue that should be  caused by a GPU..  its getting enough power (white led on GPU) and i have 850W PSU. Could it really be the GPU when its just windows not loading programs etc and eventually freezing?

I sadly dont have another PC to try the GPUs with.

rest of the components:
i9 7850XE
299 TOMAHAWK MOBO
32 GB corsair ram
850RX Corsair PSU

appreciate any help or thoughts

Download DDU and the drivers for the 580. Shut the computer down and install just the 580. Start in safe mode and run DDU. Uninstall Intel drivers and then install the drivers for the 580 and try again.

I'm not actually trying to be as grumpy as it seems.

I will find your mentions of Ikea or Gnome and I will /s post.
