NEED HELP!

Hi,

 

I'm having issues with my pc.

Whenever I'm gaming for a longer period of time, my pc freezes. But not completely. 

 

When playing Valheim, all sound (in-game and Discord) cuts out, and after a few seconds the game freezes, but I can use alt+tab to open other windows. Those windows don't respond to anything I do, but I can see them. Task Manager does open, but I can't do anything in it, because it won't respond.

 

When playing Northgard, my pc does exactly the same, but the game stil moves. I can move over the map, I see the characters moving, but they are moving in place and the game doesn't progress any further. And, same as before, Task Manager doesn't do anything.

 

The only thing I can do to get out of it is to press the reset button on the pc. 

 

What I already tried:

- Installing fresh windows 10

- Updated all drivers 

- Ran a memory test (matched.exe)

- Ran the System File Checker (sfc /scannow)

 

Is anyone here familiar with the issue, and do they have a fix for it? It is really frustrating when I try to play online with friends, because I never can complete a full game.

What are your full system specs?

 

Have you monitored temperatures? Get HWinfo64.

Edited the post with system specs. I used HWMonitor to see if it was overheating, but CPU temps stay between 40 and 70 °C

GPU climbs to a cozy 70 °C, hot spot at max 80

forgot to mention one thing, before the pc freezes, the sound cuts out (both discord and game)

It happened again just now, temps were nowhere near hot, for CPU, GPU, Chipset, etc
