Windows 10 activation key switch

Hi everyone, just a random question. I recently found out my pc had an OEM activation key meaning I can’t transfer it to a new pc. However, the key is tied to my Microsoft account. So I’m just wondering whether windows will reactivate itself on a new pc, if I just log onto my Microsoft Windows account on the new pc. On the other hand, windows may not deactivate itself meaning I have to buy a new key but since the OEM key is already tied to my account, does putting in a new activation key cause any problems when doing a fresh install of windows? Thanks

Yeah I was just wondering what will happen to the previous OEM key when I transfer my account to another pc. Whether it will stay on the account or stay on the motherboard because I thought I might cause some system instabilities.

You probably won't be able to activate the another machine. Oem keys are not transferable like that. That is their main limitation.
