Evening All

 

I'm looking at two varients of the GTX 770, Asus Direct CU2 and the Gigabyte Windforce.

 

I have a gigabyte Z87X-UD3H mother board

 

Will there be any benefit to getting the Gigabyte card over the Asus one, when taking into account my motherboard?

No added benefits that would happen based off your motherboard/card being the same brand.

They both have great cooling too, so really you can choose whichever you like the look of most.

Nope. However the gigabyte cooler is IMO and pretty sure statistically is a better cooler than ASUS DCII.

I have the asus version and it doesn't give me any problems, but if you can afford the gigabyte then get it. If it is more than $375 than you should just get a gtx 780.

I've been lusting after the Asus since watching Linus' unboxing, but i must say the Windforce cooler does look, er, cool.
