Gigabyte Z87X-UD3H would be my recommendation as well

Yeah I'm fine with something that wasn't ROG material but, still worked nice. Just still don't understand why Asus would make its entire consumer grade production line gold. I can't see that many people wanting to make a gold themed board. Yeah the idea of it sounds cool. I guess some people would want a gold pc build but, not everyone.

did you look at the MSI- G55 yet? because that is as blue as it gets unless you want a blue pcb motherboard

MSI G55.  Good all-around board with the color scheme you want and all the features you could ever need.
