Need feedback on this upgrade

I want to upgrade my PC for programming, not enough money for a GPU now, so I am reusing this old GT 630, unless you have a better option for me (I was thinking about a passive cooled GT710 - but maybe that's a waste as well?)

I will reuse the following components: case, gpu, ssd and psu

 

Is this good for the budget, or I should go for Intel instead? Or just different components at the 500$ mark

For the non oc, se 224 xt for the cooler, b550 pro vdh wifi for the board, viper steel 3733 for the ram, the non oc list is basically just hassle free, just turn on the amd equivalent of xmp and pbo in the bios and you are good to go

 

For oc, phantom for the cooler, kept the board in your original list, cheapest 3200mhz cl16 i could find, here youll want to overclock your ram to maybe 3600mhz or more, and the cpu instead of setting pbo and forgetting it, you may want to mess with tuning the pbo settings and messing around with curve optimizer for higher freq and better performance

Nice, if I don't want to mess with OCing now, is it also OK to leave the Wraith Stealth cooler that's in the box? Also, I can only buy from Amazon and it's currently unavailable?

Eh i dont suggest using the wraith stealth, just get whatever cheap 4 heatpipe tower cooler you can find like the gammax 400/gte, freezer 34, pure rock 2, etc.

They are pretty expensive

 

Hyper 212 is just overpriced unless you can get it for ~30$

 

U12s is just wayyy too expensive and uneccesary, plus a decent dual tower like the fuma 2 or phantom will prob annihilate it and still be cheaper

The one which has the most heat dissipation capabilities hence the fan doesnt need to spin very fast

 

Not sure but id suggest the phantom instead since its abit cheaper than the fuma 2 and its also a dual tower
