First Pc Build

Go to solution Solved by Somerandomtechyboi,

Maybe something like this?

Ditched aio for a cheap aircooler cause no ocing

Cheaper board, same reason as the aio

Ditched rgb ram for faster ram so you wont have to overclock your ram

Swapped the obselete ssd for a faster and cheaper ssd

Cheap high airflow rgb case

Cheap but still decent 750w psu

Leaves 850$ for the gpu so maybe a 3070ti?

Basically cheapest but still semi decent build but also some rgb aswell, if done right rgb isnt a money pit

Youll also have to do this so the cpu can boost as long as it wants

Short tdp limit yeet tutorial to make your cpu boost as much as it wants

download throttlestop, pressing the turn on button, going into the tpl menu, set turbo long, short, and pp0 current to 99999 and shove the sliders all the way to the right, clamp, lock, apply, power limits yeeted

Youll also need to make throttlestop run on system startup since ts needs to be running to make the changes apply

Budget (including currency): $1500 usd

Country: United States of America

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: apex, valorant, cod, games mostly

Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): I don’t need peripherals, 1440p max and 144hz max

This is what I have so far. I can’t find a graphics card that is a good option. If any suggestions for gpu that would help to. Is this a good build for $1500. https://pcpartpicker.com/list/TTTnPV

Had to get rid of most of the RGB, but you can add the RGB fans later. The GTX 1660 SUPER was all I could really find right now. Even 6600XT's are going for $800+ on most websites now...

For now you can stick to the igpu and wait for a decent gpu

You dont need to overclock since the ram is already fast and the igpu is also pretty fast, although to get some extra fps you can overclock the igpu to around 2400mhz and for ram you should raise the freq as high as you can till it starts erroring or crashing, then you start lowering the timings

Happy to help!

Found a GTX 1660 that will fit your budget more, and was able to go with the RGB case and full SSD storage.

The gpu price isn't as crazy now.

Extra 120mm fan is for the back of the case, which should be mounted as an exhaust fan.

Does this seem like a good starter build? I have revised it multiple times and I feel it is pretty good and up to par, just wanted to know if it was.
