i was searching some new ssd's to upgrade my pc and i opted for a sata, but which one? my sata headers are 6 Gb/s and im searching a low-price or budget-friendly sata

any suggestions?

btw my mobo has 2 m.2 slots, should i choose sata or m.2?

WD Blue or Crucial MX500. Or if youre fine with crap, then Kingston A400 or WD Green.

m.2 is just a form factor FYI. There are both sata and NVMe drives made for it.

What capacity are you looking for? Even for a storage drive I'd recommend something halfway decent. A WD Blue or Crucial MX500 would be good if they fit your budget.

Polaris: Intel Xeon E5-2697 v2, 32GB 1600MHz DDR3, ASRock X79 Extreme6, 12GB Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080, 6GB Nvidia GeForce GTX 1660 Ti, 1TB Crucial MX500, 750W Corsair RM750, Antec SX635, Windows 10 Pro

Pluto: Intel Core i7-2600, 32GB 1600MHz DDR3, ASUS P8Z68-V, 4GB XFX AMD Radeon RX 570, 8GB ASUS AMD Radeon RX 570, 1TB Samsung 860 EVO, 3TB Seagate BarraCuda, 750W EVGA BQ, Fractal Design Focus G, Windows 10 Pro for Workstations

If you're looking for inexpensive SATA drives, I've had very good luck with TeamGroup. I've bought 6 of them in various sizes (240GB-1TB) and product lines (GX1, GX2, EVO, and CX2), all have worked very well.

I would also recommend crucial mx500, it's good quality and if you are patient you can probably get it for 80-85€, where similar quality Samsung 1TB would usually cost 95-100€.
