So there is a remake of the Mini Series The Stand. I've the TV Show and read his Novel Back when 15. Now I'm not sure how realistic the Trope of US Military covering up they developed a Weaponized Disease to begin with. Wouldn't it be easier to keep quiet and the CDC and FEMA handle things?

 

But of course that will prevent a good story being written.

Forgettable series.

 

Good guys are so silly I was almost rooting for the bad ones. Not a fan of the religious undertones.

When did he write the book? I have to check, but I'm thinking late 70's or early 80's. I've first seen the TV Series in the late 80's. That is what I remember.

IIRC the TV miniseries practically bludgeoned you to death with them.

1978, at ~1200 pages in the uncut version.
