Split screen in Ultrawide monitor

So I was wondering if we can split the screen of an Ultrawide monitor and then have 2 separate displays. But then connect both to same computer and align them side by side n all.

Will it work?

 

Basically, right now I have Samsung's 49" QLED Ultrawide Gaming Monitor in my mind ...

Yes, yes it will

 

In the display menu itself you have the option to do that, or you could do it in the Windows settings too

Why would you want to do this via hardware? You can just snap a program to one side or the other...

 

But to directly answer the question, most monitors don't support this, no. That would require picture in picture or picture by picture.
