Hey guys,

I'm about to get a new CPU and wandering if I should empty the look first then lay the PC on it's side and switch CPU's. That's the way I should go about it correct?

Main PC CPU: 7700K, MOBO: Asus Strix, GPU: Aorus Extreme 3080, PSU: EVGA Supernova G2 750, RAM: Corsair Vengeance 16GB Storage: 970 Evo 1tb

You could do it that way, or if you have a fairly loose loop, you could just unmount your CPU-block and change the CPU all the while your block is hanging. That way you don't have to deal with the hassle of emptying your loop.

Just make sure your fittings and reservoir are closed well enough to have no leakage when you lay the PC on its side.

Hope this helped. ;)

Cheers guys. It's either play it safe or be lazy lol Anyways is it a direct swap for cpu's without having to eff around with the software? 4670k to a 4770k.

This.

However,if the block moves about, its right inline with the socket.....you wouldnt be the first to lunch a socket with a hanging block.....
