GTA:V Stuttering

Go to solution Solved by SavageNeo,

well you have ony 4 core 4 thread cpu, which isnt ideal for GTA V.

also single channel ram, and only 8 gigs is also not ideal.

GTA V on HDD is not ideal.

so upgrading those thins would help. the ram would help the most

Apparently, my pc can handle the whole scenery when the character is stationary but when the time comes to start moving and update textures, the whole thing stutters and my disk and RAM runs out.

Specs:
Ryzen 3 2200G

Corsair Vengeance LPX 8GB DDR4 (Single Stick not Double Channel)

Armor 8GB OC RX 570

HDD (No SSD)

Can someone help me?

First thing to do for free would be putting the settings low.

SavageNeo is right about the RAM.
Next you could upgrade to a quad core.

And next you could upgrade to a GTX 1650 super or higher.

My build:

CPU

Intel Core i7 9700 8x 3.00GHz So.1151

CPU cooler

be quiet! Shadow Rock Slim

Motherboard

MSI B360-A PRO Intel B360 So.1151 Dual Channel DDR4 ATX

RAM

16GB (4x 4096MB) HyperX FURY black DDR4-2666

GPU

8GB Gigabyte GeForce RTX2070 WindForce 2X 3xDP/HDMI

SSD

500GB Samsung 970 Evo Plus M.2 2280

HDD

4000GB WD Red WD40EFRX Intellipower 64MB 3.5" (8.9cm) SATA 6Gb/s

Power Supply

bequiet! Straight Power 750W Platinum

So upgrading to Dual Channel 16GB would help even with the current CPU right?

Make sure the second 8gb stick you get is as close to identical as possible to the old one.

It won't fix the stuttering but it will already help A LOT most of it will be gone but you'll still have hitching from time to time which is just the limit of a 4thread cpu in gta V.
