Need help with audio creation programs

Hello LTT Community,

 

I'm in need of a program( preferably free, and if not at least under 20 dollars ) that can help me compose simple techno loops, I recently purchased a sound loop set from Steinberg, it's the Klanghaus Loop set, however, I can't seem to get it to work with Cubase 5. If there is another program that can read .vstsound I would be very appreciative if you could tell me about it.

LMMS (Linux Multimedia Studio) is built for both Linux and Windows and Freeeee. I found it a bit frustrating to use after years of FL Studio but it does the job.

If you're willing to pay a little more for ease of use, FL Studio would be a great option for you. If you can't afford it, I'm sure there's another way to download it that's totally legal.
