Nas / Server Hardware?

Hi looking to build a new home server / network storage. and looking at something like this or possible ideas and suggestions.

My Custom Build - Core i3-10100F 3.6 GHz Quad-Core - PCPartPicker

it doesnt need to be super powerful as usually all it does it act as a file server / dlna media server whcih streams to a roku. and if possilbe games storage (hence the 10gig nic)
 

main aims are decent room for storage capacity,

low power draw
as quiet as possible.
and relatively budget friendly £500 or there abouts. (not including storage)

will probably be looking at truenas core which i believe is basically what freenas became and i have some experience with that. 

any advicesuggestions or pointers greatly appreciated

Get the normal 10100 the f doesn't have a igpu and you need some sort of gpu.

 

I'd get a better psu so it can easily handle all the storage devices you'll put it it.

 

For silence just get a cheap aftermarket cooler in the hyper 212 class of performance.

 

Case is up to you because well I don't really know what you'll do just make sure it has good ventilation so a mesh front case.

This times a hundred.

I wouldn't run something 24/7 on a Bronze PSU. ESPECIALLY not if you're plugging in drives that run 24/7 also.

Bronze means nothing you just need a good quality psu.
