Windows Update downgraded my Bios

Last month, Dell suportassist installed bios firmware 1.6.0. Yesterday windows update downloaded and installed a very old bios 1.4.0 firmware without asking me. Now my laptop screen looks whiter. Could this have damaged something in my laptop? How do i  reset back the bios to de newer versions tha was installed before?

Just type your service tag code and update it to latest bios

Do you know how do i stop windows update trying again in the future to install older bios in my laptop ?

In his video titled "I Visited Apple's Secret iPhone Testing Labs!", he has shown that he makes no effort to fact check Apple's claims, and takes it at face value.
