Budget (including currency): 600usd

Country: usa

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: games

Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): My current system is a ryzen 2600 on a Msi b450 gaming plus with 16GB 2x8GB of ram. 500GB m.2 ssd - gpu is a gigabyte gtx 1660 ti oc. Most games are currently played at 1080p. Would like to eventually go to 1440 since 4k is probably not affordable at the prices I am willing to pay.

I am considering upgrading to a ryzen 5600x on an Asus ROG Strix b550-a with 32 GB of ram. I will be using my existing sticks and purchasing and additional 2 sticks of the same ram so they are all the same.

I plan to purchase a new GPU next year when they will hopefully be back to normal prices. GPU will probably be nvidia Rtx 3000 series of some kind

Will this upgrade provide me with any current benefits and have enough legs when I do upgrade my GPU?
