Power line ethernet???

So i want to use an ethernet cable for my pc but i can not run a cable throughout my whole house as the router is in the living room and wifi is an awful option so would an ethernet cable connected to a power line adapter be a good idea for someone who doesn’t need competitive internet? And is there a good cheap option around $30-$35?

Suggested this in another thread.  Good for up to Gigabit connections.  Not as good as running a normal wire but it'll see you through

Power line adapters are hit or miss. If the adapters are on the same circuit they work the best. If you have to cross a breaker or two you will likely get slower speeds. If you need to cross a phase it likely won’t work very well. High draw appliances can cause interference.
