Games are too sharp when lowering resolution?

Hello, I recently got a new PC with an AMD gpu and when I lower the resolution (ex. 1024x768 in csgo) colors get this weird ghosting effect: image.png.7a575cd0f6c25f720c5bb4b0b52c8254.png

ALL green colors get this pink outline which isn't there on native (1920x1080) resolution.

Can someone help me fixing this? I already searched the whole internet for an answer and couldn't find it.

That's normal. Your screen is upsampling the image to display on a 1920x1080 screen so one pixel at the 1024*768 resolution takes up many at the native res and then you can get these colour shifting issues.

So the advice is to as per usual always use your monitor at the native res and if that is not possible then you'll just have to live with this.

Well this didn't happen on my old pc and countless other players dont experience this issue, so this must be some kind of bug I suppose

What did you change between systems? Are you using a different input on the screen?

So I bought a new 280hz monitor and I'm using my old 144hz one as secondary screen, where the issue is still present. So it can't be the monitor. It must be something with sharpening and the AMD gpu.

1024x768 is something you're trying to play games in?

What year is it?

Ryzen 7 7800x3D -  Asus RTX4090 TUF OC- Asrock X670E Taichi - 32GB DDR5-6000CL30 - SuperFlower 1000W - Fractal Torrent - Assassin IV - 42" LG C2 - Windows 11 Pro

Some people apparently think using 4:3 gives them an advantage for whatever reason. Which is BS imo since it brings in a lot of other downsides (besides getting eye cancer) that you don't have on 16:9.

Have you tried other resolutions like 1280×960 or so to see it happens there too?

Yeah I tried every other resolution and it still happens, even like 1600x900, it only goes away in native 1920x1080
