X399 - 2990wx - ram issues

Hello everyone... so long since my last post.

Need advise and expertise from someone u can help me here.

Office Computer for 3D and Rendering purposes.
Asus Prime X399-A

8x16GB = 128GB HyperX Predator  ref. HX3200C16D4/16GX

Threadripper 2990wx (Tr4)

PSU 1000W

Air cooling - Master Cooler

!...We do not overclock...!

I have realized every time i deliver a more complex renderings calculations on this machine then it shuts off completely and no power button will work unless press that back psu power button to reboot all.

Then i made some investigations and i found this RAM modules aren't listed in the asus mobo QVL list...

Plus this mobo can`t even do the XMP profile to achieve slightly better speeds. (it simple wont boot or randomly freezes).

So am asking for some help to find 2 solutions:
A 100% compatibility 128GB ram for this Mobo+CPU (preferable G.Skill or Corsair)
or

Replacing the Mobo and hopefully that new mobo accepts this memory kits.

Thanks a lot u will help me here so i can report to my "boss" and get new hardware parts so we can finish our projects.
Best regards

What do you think?
Should i stay with all 8 stick populates and go for 8x16GB

or

Choose 4x32GB (4sticks) and left the other channel alone?
I think i have read somewhere that Threadrippers wont work so great with all ram channels populated.

Anyway... is there any significant difference between Mobo QVL and Memory QVL? i am asking that because for instance, in G.skill there is some memory that are supported for this mobo and their are not listes in Asus QVL.
Should i stay with the Asus QVL List?
Sorry for all this questions but i am new on this X399 Tr4 platform. (at my own house i have a x570 and works like charm)
🙂

I'd stick with the Asus one.  As you're much more likely to get support from the motherboard manufacturer then you are from the memort manufacturer

Ok.
I am gone inspect those list you show me and present 1 or 2 solution/price to my boss for a new memory hardware part.
Hopefully those Asus QVL list are 100% stable because 128GB ram is to expensive here in Portugal and if anything will not work i will suffer 😞

Thanks a lot.
Grateful help here.

the problem sounds like a psu problem to me. what psu do you have?

QVL list kits are known to work, but that does not mean that ram outside the list wont work. they do not have the resources or the time to test every kit. so QVL is mostly useless.
