RAM upgrade help on Asus X540LA-XX972T laptop

Hi, i've got this Kingston brand DDR3L RAM from my relative which not appropriate with their computer.

 

I want to install it on my low-end laptop which has 4GB DDR3-1600 MHz RAM on single slot.

You can put the ram in your laptop and it should operate kike normal DDR3

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

 

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 10 and Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

 

How many watts do I need? ATX 3.0 & PCIe 5.0 spec, PSU misconceptions, protections explained, group reg is bad

Some laptops are picky on RAM. Some wont even turn on with DDR3L rams for some reason. You can find the specifications of the ram by searching for the model number on the sticker, they are there for a reason.

I want to install it on my low-end Asus X540LA-XX972T model laptop.

 

But i can't see any cover for memory on back.

Should i remove this back cover completely?

 

In Asus's website, it only supports 8GB of memory. It has 4GB as stock memory on single stick.

Does this laptop has 2nd memory slot?

Well, you dont have any other option other than that. Watch a video of how others disassemble it first. This video shows that it only has 1 SODIMM slot

I thought i only needed to remove back cover. I wish they'd putted RAM upgrade slot on the back cover.
