NVIDIA GPU accelerated applications

Hi, I would like to ask few questions about GPU accelerated applications

 

1. Are applications here: https://www.nvidia.com/content/dam/en-zz/Solutions/design-visualization/documents/gpu-applications-catalog.pdf supported by any NVIDIA GPU or only certain types (Quadro/RTX/GTX)? 
2. How about the performance of GPU such as GTX 1030, 1050 or 1660 SUPER compared to CPU like Ryzen 9 5950X in those applications if supported?
   Example application: G-BLASTN, NVBowtie, PEANUT, SOAP3/SOAP3-dp, Gromacs

 

Currently the planned machine is going to use Ryzen 9 5950X, but if something like 1050 can run faster for application with similar function, I'll switch to Ryzen 7 5800

1. Depends on the program. Most will work on geoforce cards fine, but may have some features disabled.

 

2. Really depends on the exact program. 

 

You can get many more details if you list your exact program and setup, but there is no general answer.
