USB C to Displayport ISSUe

Hi so i have a razerblade 15 advanced, and a G7 odyssey i want to connect the external monitor from usb c to dp, i have 2 cables, the laptop dectects that there is a monitor connected but the display will not display anything, it is selected on dp on monitor and i am duplicating my screen. Also if i unplug the monitor it does the usal black screen and stuff like you woul if it was working via hdmi.
