Hi, I need advice for buying a good hub switch unmanaged that have 16 ports and that is 10/100/1000 and with a good warranty. I need to put it in a suspended ceiling but no problem for the space and i can make a rack so it would have a good ventilation.

Do I need to buy cat 5 or cat 6 ... shielded or not shielded .. it's for a house. I will link tv receivers & computers. I'm from Canada so I need a good support if it's lifetime warranty.

Sorry if my english is bad my first language is french.

Thank You.

Be careful with terminology here. Hubs and switches are two different devices. Hubs are pretty much entirely obsolete and there's no reason I can think of to buy one over a switch.

For what you need, pretty much any unmanaged 16 port switch from a known brand like Netgear, TPLink or DLink is fine. Cat5e and up is fine for cabling and in most cases you won't need shielded cables either.
