Is 52c too hot for a soundbar?

No overheat warnings come out and the sound is smooth. (No buffering or latency)

52c ambient or is there 52c of heat being pumped out by something near it? Or is the soundbar itself generating 52c of heat? A bit of clarifying would be nice.

The soundbar itself is that hot.

OK, seems like just the amp chip is getting hot, or it could be the power supply. It should be fine as long as you don't leave it on 24/7.

Not on 24/7. Auto Power switched on so it'll turn itself off when not used. The center is 52c, the sides are ambient temp.

I'm using BT. Will a wired connection vis 3.5mm jack make it run cooler?

Just put a small fan over it, that will cool your soundbar so its not on fire anymore

How are you measuring temps?

It's manufactured, it works.  

 

What else do you measure temps on to make sure it's okay?

52c is nothing, he's probably measuring the PSU or amp.  You're being sarcastic I hope and not recommending he trailer trash his soundbar, right?

Speakers / amp temps is not something that we need to worry about, especially factory made.

The speakers itself generate no heat, but the PSU & amp chip do.

Like most electronics, under boiling water temp is considered normal.

Just stick one of those usb fans on it and itll give you peace of mind that it isnt just burning all the time

On the hot areas I used a digital thermometer.

Most likely it's not close to 100c because the sound is smooth and no temp warnings come out. The overheat protection never tripped.

Rear: 0

Master volume: 10 (max 40)

Read above.  Anything under 100c is fine.  

 

52c is cool as a cucumber for a working electronic device with a PSU and Amp.
