GTX 970 Black Screen

I have an issue with my GPU when it hits 100% load for more than 10min it makes the screen go black. I have to underclock it to make it not crash. I have a GTX970 ASUS Direct CUII OC. The card does not exceed thermals as it stays under 75 degress at full sustained load. My PSU is not the issue as it a new 650 watt unit.

There's more than GPU core that could be reaching thermal max. You could have a bad thermal pad and some of the VRMs are overheating. HWMonitor should be able to check every one of those sensors. See if one of those is hitting TJ MAX.
