Hi everyone so j just ordered a new rig and was wondering if i could use my old rtx 2060 aero on it(see attached photo)

Was wondering if i could use my old rtx for stream rendering or something I don’t know, it will be my first time to have dual gpu if it’s possible. If it does what are the things i need to do so i can use the 2060 smoothly with the new rtx 3060 and won’t cause any problem. And i have an ssd from my old one too that i can use.

and a suggestions or tips with amd cpu is much appreciated since this is also my first time using amd.

You can use both. I know it's possible to dedicate the 2060 to encoding, though I forget how to do it (there should be some tutorials online). As for the SSD, you might need to salvage a SATA cable from your old system or the M.2 screw, but you should be able to mount it and get it to work.

As for tips for AMD, make sure the power plan is the AMD performance one and turn on PBO in BIOS, but that's all you need to do.

Oh, ok but i read something here that it will make your pc performance degrade when pbo is turned on?

so the gpu can be use as encoding will try to look about it on how. Where to turn on Power  plan?(sorry noob) 🤦🏻‍♂️

Some people have issues with it, but most don't. If you are concerned, you can always test it both ways.

850 should be fine, especially since the 2060 won't ever be fully utilized. If you were doing something like 2 gamers 1 CPU, then it would be a lot closer, but honestly you can probably get by with a 650w for this config (as long as the 2060 will just be doing encoding)
