Need an opinion.

BOTDead

The area where I live is apparently according to theb person that set up the router from the ISP is on the edge of the cell tower so My network isn't the best what so ever.

What I would like to know is if I were to purchase a Router would that improve my network at all considering the previously mentioned dilemma. if so which router would you personally recommend with what I do. I run servers from my secondary PC and play AAA titles with a lot of people on the internet at anyone time, So I am just wondering which router would be the best for this situation.

Thank you very much to those that respond in advance.

Or would it be better to just Upgrade my internet and get a new router at the same time?

is your internet cell service based?

If you're on the edge of reception, a new router won't change that.

no affect by upgrading router. Bottleneck is the distance between you and the signal tower.

Right so I guess the only thing I can do is look for a new closer ISP? Thanks for your insight non-the less

There are LTE gateways out there that should accept a connection to an external LTE antenna. You would generally mount these on the outside of the home and run the cabling to the inside and connect it to the gateway. I dont have any suggestions for any, I just know they exist.

The other option is to look for a new provider, but you may not no other options.

I just want to sit back and watch the world burn.

Yea according to a few websites that I have been on the ISP's in my area either cant do it here or they are just generally unknown ISP's and I have no idea whether to trust how good they can or cant be.

Trust? Who trust's their ISP? My ISP got caught throttling Bit Torrent traffic and Netflix traffic. AT&T routinely lies about if you can get Fiber as their reps think copper equals Fiber. Here in Murica you take what you can get. Doesnt matter if its a big company or a small company thats unknown. I would suggest maybe talking to your neighbors about who they use.

I have and I believe most of them are using Bell(I'm Canadian) Which just so happens to be one of the only big ISP's that have connectivity here.
