Bougth pc week a go build it my self i everything work well, but ram didnt work as it should got 16gb ddr4 kit (2x sticks 8gb)  gskill ripjaws ram worked but it said in task manger 8.1 gb is hardwer reseved so i had 7.9 for use it even siad dual chennel config so i wnent on youtube and found some solution but it didnt worked for me so i was diggind more on google/youtube and found that bios update can help fix this issue so youtubed how to update bios did all steps and when it finished

sistem didnt boot mb was beeping 3x so i again went to youtibe/google did battery cmos did jumped pins and nothing helped but fans worked at some point system wouldnt shut off if i pressed and hold power button bu it would start to beep 3x again only way to shut off pc was to flip switch on power supply so then i tougth i could try to take one sitick of ram so i did that and pc turned on then i checked cpuz to see what bios i was running and saw it was running it was the one i updated it to so then i tried again putting othe stick of ram and it agin beeps and black screen then i tried switching ram slot of the ram that i just put again and it did beep and black screen again then i took out again that ram and eveything worked normal so i assume its ram that was fulty but why did it worked normal when i build it and not whe i updated bios i  am really confused what happend

No, you should see almost 16 GB no matter if it's single channel or dual channel mode.

Make sure the sticks are installed in the right slots... usually the slot furthest away from the cpu socket, then if there's a second stick, leave one slot empty between the first stick and the 2nd stick.

 

Test your sticks and make sure they're not faulty.

Easy to do that by installing  one stick at a time in your computer... see if the computer turns on.... 

Make a bootable usb stick with memtest  https://www.memtest86.com/download.htm -  click on link on the right for the free version.  Or use this open source memtest : https://www.memtest.org/#downiso

Your motherboard will most likely configure them at the default 2133 or 2400 Mhz - you have to go in bios and select the 3200 or 3600 mhz profile

i tried installig that other stick but it wouldnt boot whit it when i got 2 sticks in tried even moving spots originaly i installed ram as you said one furthest from cpu other one slot empty then other is populated with that other stick pc works now fine with one ram stick i can give my pc specs also i know i got to go to bios and enable xmp for it to go 3200mhz but thanks for help
