For general every day use, Ryzen7 5800X Vs i7 11700k? They are roughly the same price, and the comparable boards are the same price too, which would be best and why?

5800x cause its efficient and you do not need to overclock the shit out of it

 

 

11700k is only sensible when you wanna heavily overclock it cause itll lost to amd if you dont (5.3ghz+)

Pretty comparable overall. 5800X has way more cache, so it handles certain workloads far better, but for something like gaming you won't notice a difference, or they'll trade blows. 11th gen Intel has AVX512 instructions, though, so for workloads that can utilize that (again, not gaming), it will stomp the 5800X. There's very few applications that actually support AVX512 at this point, though.
