i bought a 560 ti about a month ago and I've been pretty happy with performance but i find myself lowering settings compared to those recommended in GeForce experience to keep fps within the 50-60 range is this just because NVidia is lying about the performance that the card will be able to give or is there a major bottleneck somewhere

All drivers are up to date and here are my system specs

AMD Phenom 955 black edition @ stock

MSI GTX 560 ti 448 core

6Gb of DDR3 1333mhz RAM

2 hard drives one 500gb 7200rpm for OS and a 2tb 5400 rpm for mass storage (games and media)

OCZ ZS 550w psu

Hyper 212 evo

temps are relatively good never going above 70-80 on intense games and cpu usually stays below 50

thanks in advance

Why are you running that 955 without an overclock? Them things overclock like there's no tomorrow. My wife runs hers at 4.4 in her rig

GeForce Experience profiles are completely off anyway. I wouldn't use them as "optimal" settings. The 560ti is quite dated right now, but still a decent card. My card runs most games fine at 1080p with some tweaks. What games do you play?

Tf2 which is fine usually get 200+ fps with it maxed out battelfield 4 and Assassins creed 4 both run below 60 even when at lowest settings

ive got a custom fan profile set in afterburner fan stays at 40% until 60 degrees in which it goes up 10% every 10 degrees

Okay...dont bother what Geforce Experience says...it is way off in many cases...and actually there can be so many different kinds of setups that they cant post performance score for everyone one of them...so if u are getting 50-60 fps with decent graphics..then thats good enough for that card....at what resolution are u playing any way...??
