Plex server keeps poopin itself

I made a post a few days ago about this but I've figured out more about the problem.  

 

Every 1-4 hours the computer just black screens and nothing I do gets a response and I have to just hold the power button down until it turns off then start it up again.  When it goes down I can't RDP into it, ping it, or get any response by bashing on the keyboard or plugging stuff in.  It was running fine for over 2 years with brand new hardware and no problems or changes.  

 

I was running a fake RAID 5 from the mobo for 4 hard drives and I'm thinking some cheap controller burnt out which is causing stability issues.  There's no visible damage to the mobo though.  I've swapped the PSU, unplugged all the RAID drives, taken out the graphics card, reset the BIOS to default settings, removed 3 of the 4 ram sticks, run ram checks, fresh installed windows, and it still randomly freezes/black screens after about 2 hours.  I can't think of any other tests to run and I think it has to be the mobo or the cpu.  I don't have a spare LGA 1151 mobo or cpu to test with so i guess it's time to start buying stuff. 

 

Can anyone think of anything else to try?

 

System Specs:

OS: Win10 Pro 64-bit Build 19043 (21H1)
CPU: i3-8100
GPU: 1050ti (removed for testing)
MOBO: Z370-A PRO (MS-7B48)
RAM: 32GBs (reduced to 1x8gb stick at 2400MHz)
PSU: 550w (swapped to new 650w EVGA)
BIOS version: 7B48v2C (most recent stable version)

 

Software running when it crashes is:
Plex media server 
Sonarr
qbittorrent
PIA
Chrome

I just call it my plex server because that's it's main use.  It's just a windows 10 computer running plex as an application.  I don't think plex is causing the problem since I fresh installed windows 10 and still have the problem.  I think it's a hardware issue but wanted to be more sure before buying stuff.

Well I will say that Plex server software can be somewhat of an issue.  On my Plex machine, if I open a browser and go to Netflix.com and then hit the LOGIN button, it'll freeze.  Only when Plex Server is running tho.  Odd.

 

Obviously you set the PC into High Perf Mode, so no sleep or screensaver?

Well this is a fresh install of windows without plex installed and i'm still getting the problem so i don't think it's plex related.

Yeah but even if it were going to sleep, slapping every key on the keyboard should wake it up.

Yeah, I 'm leaning toward motherboard personally.   Since you have tested it with the iGPU when you took out the GPU?

I was testing it through RDP'd for convenience btw but yeah i fully removed the GPU to reduce variables and still had the problem
