compensation

hey guys i want to know if a faluty motherboard or psu or aio damage other components of pc ( processor, ram, gpu) than can i claim compensation from the company whose ( mobo,psu,aio ) damaged other component. 

of course mobo,psu,aio should be in warranty

you'd have to read the terms of the warranty, but odds are they've covered their own asses.

 

No company would sell an 80$ PSU if a failure meant they were on the hook for 500+ in RAM / CPU / Mobo costs.

First you need good evidence of a failing component damage another, then u need to reasonably prove u did nothing wrong, and as said it also depends on the terms and conditions, warranties, etc.

But I agree, you "should" be entitled for compensation in such a case, it might be quite complicated tho, as mentioned.

I mean, one thing should be clear, if they have a "we arent liable for anything no matter what" clause, that might be null depending on laws and regulations. 

 

for example in germany we have something called "gross negligence" and there is no way out of this, IF it is proven (which yes, of course, might be difficult - impossible, but not necessarily)
