Hi guys, I am at my wits end looking for help with my Cougar Aqua 240, rgb keeps changing on its own for unspecified reasons, example static red to rainbow effect and vice versa, I was wondering if anyone experienced similar issues with other AIO coolers.

Here is the hard part, it's not actually connected to the mobo rgb header as its 5v, and my mobo supports only 12v rgb, so it's not software related. I am just using the supplied Cougar remote to control the rgb. I did bind the remote to the AIO to avoid any interference from other remotes but no luck, also tried removing remote battery to see if it's an issue however the result was the same, rgb changed on its own.

Off brand rgb in a market that is almost entirely proprietary.  Basically can’t connect to anything except itself.   Was there a remote?

Not a pro, not even very good.  I’m just old and have time currently.  Assuming I know a lot about computers can be a mistake.

Life is like a bowl of chocolates: there are all these little crinkly paper cups everywhere.

It does have a remote if that's what you are asking? It's basically a common RF wireless remote just with couple more function buttons and Cougar branding.
