Ok at the moment I have a western digital sn750 drive it has been working fine for a year and a half now it has started to freeze up windows I can’t do anything but move the mouse cursor I have already re installed windows and it won’t stop doing this it doesn’t matter if I’m gaming or if I’m idle it just happens can you guys help I think it might be dying

you can run a SMART test for your drive. a program like crystaldiskinfo can be useful to identify issues with all types of storage media. 

you can also open task manager and go to the ssd tab under performance. is the response time <1second or more than 1 second?

I’ve already ram the smart test and used crystal disk info and it check out as good I’m not currently at my house so I’ll be sure to check response time but if it is more then a second is that bad

its going to fluctuate a lot but being consistently >1second for long periods of time can indicate a deeper issue. it could be hardware, could be software. its just sort of a indicator saying that something *could* be wrong.
