Hello all,

So I have the HP Pavilion 15 Laptop bought back in 2019. Specs: i5 8th Gen, 12GB RAM(weird but ok), 1TB 5400rpm (trash) HDD.

So I added a 500GB NVMe SSD back in the beginning of 2020(the good ol' days 😔).

Now, from the past few weeks there was a lot of random crashing with the error "No boot device found". "Hard disk error (3F0)". It would eventually boot after a few hard shutdowns.

But after running the in-built diagnostic tools, I got the following message, " Hard disk/SSD Long/Short DST: Warning". That's it no other message/explanation.

So I tried a lot of troubleshooting steps off the internet with no resolution.

I decided to take things in my hands. It went kinda wrong but not wrong ?!!?!

Let's begin with the real problem. So I decided to format my C: drive without really thinking it through. I used a third-party program (mini-tool) to format the C: drive. Well, it did format it, but I guess the wrong partition.

I managed to install Windows on my crappy HDD for now. But now the SSD is messed up, it sometimes doesn't show up in windows or any third-party program. When it does show up, it cannot be formatted normally. And when using a third-party program, it shows 0 KB storage.

Do I have any hope of recovering the SSD for further use ?

Thank you for reading this long issue. Any help is appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Does the drive appear in Disk Manager?

I am getting pretty fucking sick and tired of the "watch something else" responses. It's such a cop out answer because you could say that about basically anything, and it doesn't address the actual complaints. People use it as some kind of card they pull when they can't actually respond to the criticism raised but they still feel like they need to defend some company/person. If you don't like this thread then stop reading it. See how stupid it is? It's basically like telling someone "shut the fuck up". It's not a clever responsive, it doesn't address anything said, and it is rude.

What happens if you try to format that RAW partition? Is that the partition which you accidentally formatted?

Also, if you edit a message, please quote me(@RockSolid1106) in the message so I get a notification. Editing a message does not send a notification even if they are following that topic.
