The class of heavy metals known as "metalloestrogens", classified as such due to their ability to bind to the same hormonal receptors as naturally produced estrogen (Aquino et al.), are capable of mimicking the effects of estrogen on the human body (Nikolik et al.). Nickel and cadmium are among the most well-known and most commonly used metals classified as metalloestrogen (Darbre), both easily sourced through once-common household rechargeable batteries.

Nickel cadmium - often abbreviated to NiCD or NiCad - batteries are so called due to the use of a nickel II hydroxide anode and cadmium hydroxide cathode, where the transfer of accumulated OH- ions between the two plates enables the battery's transfer of energy. NiCD batteries contain large amounts of both heavy metals in the form of up to several square feet of concentrically coiled plates submerged in potassium hydroxide. Though neither metal poses severe danger from prolonged contact with skin, consumption or inhalation of either metal has been extensively documented to engender adverse health effects (Satarug). 

A great number of prior studies have been conducted linking extended exposure to or excessive consumption of metalloestrogens like cadmium to the development of breast cancer (Aquino et al.) - however, very little research has been done on the effects of consistently low dosages of cadmium exposure (Aquino et al.). Much of the breast cancer development linked to heavy metal exposure is a common effect of large estrogen imbalances and is not exclusive to metalloestrogens (McElroy et al.). Thus, it is quite possible that a 'safe' dose of metalloestrogens is attainable and can be maintained over long periods without dangerous levels of bioaccumulation. 

Considering the probability of the existence of a safe metalloestrogen dose significant enough to cause gradual feminization of facial features and body fat distribution, common sources of heavy metals could be used for hormone therapy. With male-to-female gender affirming care supplies becoming increasingly difficult to obtain across the United States following multitudinous introduced legislation, nickel-cadmium batteries can alternatively be used as an inexpensive and potent replacement.

where are fans going to go? On top of intake?

 

Fans are on top of the radiators and the exhaust are below the radiators. Those mesh are air filter btw

And the main purpose of this is to keep the dust away from the motherboard and other important components not the thickness

You have a big open case, 2mm sheets gonna bend without a support.

thin rads are worse at cooling, you’d not be able to use 2x thin 360mm with a 3090 and a tr you know Linus would put in.

You would have 4mm for the desk itself, 20mm for a rad, 15mm for fans, that’s 3.9cm and your fans can’t breathe. You would need another 2cm (minimum, pref way more, like 4-6cm) for fans to breathe, call it 5cm, that’s 2 inches thick. A hell of a lot thicker than their current desk iirc.

plus you don’t have air going over anything like the motherboard, memory, drives, gpu backplate and whatever else that usually would get it in a normal case

Why would that matter?

the whole point of their newest desk wat to make it desk thickness, not to keep dust out. Plus, the current design would have Cooling for the motherboard vend and such, which is lost with this design.

 


(plus currently it’s going to be like 1ft wide and 3 ft long.

I could use some help with this!

This layout has no measurements yet you can make it wider or longer. You can add more fans on that mesh(airfilters) for better cooling . And you can use feet of the desk to support the whole thing.

Still much thicker and worse at cooling, more fans=/= more cooling

The sheet metal will dent in the middle, and you are missing a whole post I made

My point is.. i made this layout for dust proofing for the main components. Its dimensions to keep it thin is up to linus(if he accept this layout challege) so suggest your measurements to him. And for the desk support, there should be bracing in between the feet of the desk...

So? The main compartment will be pretty big at full size.

that middle section will be probably 2x 4 or so, it will need additional supports. 
plus, this all be under a price of metal from what you’ve said, which kinda will defeat the purpose of having a desk pc, you can’t see it.
