Budget (including currency): 1,000 USD

Country: United States

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: light-moderate gaming, will also be used as an everyday computer

Other details I threw together a pcpartpicker list in hopes of upgrading from a pc that was strictly a work computer. Some price(s) manually set because I will be hopefully buying within 2 months, seeing recent trends with the GPU market. Aiming to game at 1080p 144hz, or 60fps 1440p. Monitor not included in budget. (Video card price increased by ~25% from MSRP, will hopefully reach that before year's end)

OS will be windows, no need for peripherals.

1-2 monitors

8/10

Decent but

That board is kinda rubbish but ok for 3600 unless you oc it

For 3$ extra you can get 3200mhz ram instead (sort low to high)

The psu is eh, maybe swap for a 700w neoeco gold

Well atleast you didnt waste your money on useless garbage so 8/10

You chose an even worse board.

Why would the board i chose be worse?

The ds3h has a 5+3vrm

And the board i chose seems to have a 7 phase vrm? I was just telling by the picture

Any knows issues with either?

The MSI board is more like a 4+2. Also no heatsinks on the VRM. It just isn't a good board for anything more than a 4 core/APU.

The Hardware Luxx link in the reddit link below has a decent list of VRM's for a lot of AM4 boards.
