Windows task at 30% usage

OK so this windows task seems to be using ~30% all the time and its a real PITA especially when booting up and general responsiveness.

That is 30% CPU that could be used elsewhere and considering I'm running on an Ryzen 3 3300U, i really do not need more load on my CPU.

I've often noticed that while opening/closing apps my laptop freezes for a few seconds before moving on.

Having done some of my own research it seems the task is related to audio processing, specifically, special audio effects.

I use an External DAC, SoundBlaster Play 4 because the built-in DAC in my laptop doesn't get loud enough and also is on the right side which is really annoying and interferes with my mouse.

I do run it with a few sound effects like Surround, Crystallzer and Smart Volume and this is generally how I've been running it. 

Any ideas on how to get this process to use less resources?

UPDATE

 

I just reset all my settings through the creative app. i just switched to the lowest quality settings then went switched back and it seems to using only ~5% CPU which seems more reasonable

Not surprising a SoundBlaster product causing problems. They still can't seem to make a good product all these years later.

huh i wasn't aware of this reputation. I bought theirs cuz it was the most affordable option in my region. I'm quite satisfied with it to be honest.

Never F***ing mind its gone back to ~30% usage again.

now its edging closer to 40% usage. holy shit. at this point literally doing anything would make the CPU rocket to 100%
