Another Windows 11 TPM/System compatibility question.

Go to solution Solved by mmk,

What wavem2 said.  I have a 8700K also on an Asus Z370 Prime board.  Mine indicated that it was not compatible also until I changed the setting from 'Discrete TPM' to firmware TPM.  In my case the setting was under PCH Configuration/ PCH-FW Configuration in the bios.

So I was looking to try the w11 insider stuff but it says my system is not compatible. I'm pretty sure it's because my motherboard lacks a TPM module. It does have a header though so I'm looking to buy one (when they're in stock for less than the ebay scalper prices).

My question is I know nothing about TPM modules is there a specific one I would need to buy? Also is there any other compatibility I need to check my system for before I buy one? Lastly I'm wondering if there was anything I missed with the w11 compatibility and my system, it should be compatible after I have the TPM module right?

My system:

CPU  : i7 8700k

MB    : Asus ROG Maximus X Hero

GPU  : Gigabyte RTX 2080

RAM  : 32Gb Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4 3200 MHz
