27gp850

SuperFlower

I currently have a 27gl850 for about 1 year now. Is the 27gp850 a good upgrade from my model? I have saw the review and they praised it so much compared to the gl850 one (hw unboxed review), 25-30% in respinse time increase over gl850 and oc to 180hz.

its not worth it. its the same specs but just better response time. spending $500 for that is not worth it almost ever. if it really mattered like if you were a pro gamer then you would be getting a TN panel anyway. the only time it could be worth is if you sold your current one and then buy the new one so you would be effectively spending around $100 instead of 500. I mean even then, 100 is a lot of money for an incremental upgrade. thats enough for budgeting for a better gpu or other components or towards college/mortgage/debt in general. paying off your debt with that "$100" is far more valuable than an incremental upgrade.

TL;DR: NO

Ok thanks, so you're saying that I would not notice any difference apart from refresh rate? Is the panel the same?

The panel's slightly better and it's better optimized, but definitely not worth upgrading.
